Through my MSc, I will investigate factors limiting the abundance and distribution of the Wyoming pocket gopher, in response to natural gas development and other environmental stressors. With the assistance of Dr. Matthew Carling, I am also studying dynamics of hybridization with western pocket gophers.

I am a Wyoming native, and I earned my Bachelor of Science from the University of Wyoming in 2013. I have been involved in many research projects, studying a variety of animals including American pikas, coyotes, moose, white-tailed prairie dogs, and the elusive black-footed ferret.

My work is supported through the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.
